Resources for water quality data
United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) compiled drinking water data and reports from areas across the United States. Specifically, you can find information about drinking water in your community through EPA's online mapping tool (Drinking Water Mapping Application to Protect Source Waters, DWMAPS).

Groundwater (i.e., water that exists underground) is another important water source for our daily needs. United States Geological Survey (USGS) provides data of groundwater quality changes in the recent three decades.

Virginia Household Water Quality Program (VAHWQP): Drinking water clinics for your private water supplies are organized by your local Extension Agent and Virginia Tech faculty in the Biological Systems Engineering Department. Participation is voluntary. Anyone with a private water supply system may participate.
